SAIL THE CLYDE
COME and join us - on a skippered yacht in scotland
Join our crew as we explore the stunning Scottish sailing area of the Firth of Clyde, home to so many lovely ports and anchorages.
Combine great sailing in sheltered waters with trips ashore to distilleries, fresh seafood restaurants and great local pubs.
Starting and ending in Inverkip Marina, we will spend six days exploring the stunning scenery of the Kyles of Bute, West Loch Tarbert, Holy Island and Campbeltown.
sailING the kyles of bute
INVERKIP our home base on the Clyde is a great starting point – only a few miles from Glasgow Airport and at the head of the beautiful Firth of Clyde.
PORTAVADIE the best marina on the Clyde, in Loch Fyne, has a spa and an excellent on site restaurant.
TARBERT is one of the homes for West Highland Week, and is well used to sailors. Great place to come in to after a fantastic sail around the Kyles of Bute.
sailING to cambeltown
TIGHNABRUICH a stunning location, as are all these places, and also the home to the Kyles 10 miles if you need a release from sailing…
ARRAN Lamlash on the East side of the island, or Brodick have both moorings and shoreside facilities….
CAMPBELTOWN on the Mull of Kintyre, a place which deserves to be famous – not because of the song but because of Springbank whisky!
sail to holy loch
INVERARY with Inverary Castle is a picture perfect town on the shore of Loch Fyne. For fans of Gregor Fisher, Para Handy has his Clyde Puffer moored here…
CAIRNDOW, Clachan is the original – and many say the best – Loch Fyne Oyster Bar. With the oyster beds sitting right next to the shoreside, this is a great if difficult place to get in to.
